La Balaiterie at Royville
About Us
Here at La Balaiterie, we're really passionate about what we do.
Our goal is to help to preserve ancestral French know-how of straw broom making, and rehabilitate the machines of brush makers that have been used for centuries.
Most importantly, we wanted to bring to market products that are practical, sustainable and unique. All of our brooms are made not only to look beautiful, but also to be strong and practical. Every piece is handmade in our workshop in France, using sorghum straw grown locally - which is then dried, sorted and dyed by our very own hands.

What People Think of us
Great experience. The couple who take care of the visit are charming, everything is very well explained. The property is magnificent, we understand the art of making brooms. There is also a very impressive life-size all-wooden vehicle museum. Highly recommend !! For adults and young people!

Super visit. The story is magnificent and the history of balaiterie and the meaning is passionate. The museum of vehicles/objects in the woods is superb. The owners of this lieu are three gentlemen and pedagogues! A fair visit!

We discovered the workshop on 13/4/24. Fascinating story of this couple. Manufacturing of brooms or other magnificent and very useful objects, a magnificent garden, and an exhibition of incredible wooden vehicles. You have to go there with your eyes closed but open them in the workshop. Recommended ++++++
